s00045 serphinite pendant
"Of Copper, Forest, and Flight"
There’s something oddly tender about this piece—something that tugged on me as I wrapped it, like a half-remembered tune or scent from long ago. Seraphinite, they call this stone, with feathered silver threads caught in dark green depths like wingbeats of bird trapped inside a poem. Copper that cradles it isn’t loud or proud—it sings low, like the cello in a half-lit room. Humble. Patient. It carries time.
As I worked, something in my hands remembered Makarska—not as it is, but as it was, when I was still a wild little shadow with scraped knees and wind-tangled honey hair. I lived barefoot among pine trees that whispered secrets, with slingshot in hand and pockets full of stones, hunting imaginary beasts through sun-dappled paths. Cliffs were my cathedrals; I climbed them like prayers, sharp limestone cutting into my palms as scent of resin and sea wrapped around me like lullaby. Below, waves threw themselves at the rocks in rhythms I thought only I could hear—chaotic, stubborn, full of longing. They moved like my thoughts now: untamed, full of stories no one ever quite believed.
This pendant was born from that place in me. Not the part that wants to impress—but the part that remembers. That longs. That carries silence like it is something sacred. Every twist of copper is a small surrender, a slow conversation with the metal, with fire, with memory. It doesn't aim to please. It aims to stay—to accompany its wearer like a whispered vow.
Wear it not because it matches something. Wear it because it echoes something inside you—an ache, a fire, a forest you once knew.
📸 Each loop of copper heated, hammered, and woven by hand. The wire was coaxed, not forced. Flame was kind.
