Title: "A Garden in Copper, A Memory in Stone"

There are pieces one makes with the hands, and then—there are those made with the bones of memory, with soft ache of song once sung beside the Adriatic.

This pendant was not planned. It came into being the way flowers push through cracks in old stone walls, insistent and quietly miraculous. The main stone is a serene slice of agate, its soft, oceanic hues a whisper of Makarska’s sea, where as a child I sat in my grandfather’s lap on the edge of our stone garden bed. Salt of the air clung to his skin; his hands were crusted with sea and labor, cracked by age but strong enough to hold all my small world safe. He would sing—low, deep Dalmatian melodies, a kind that know both love and sorrow—and I felt then, what I still believe: that beauty is the most honest kind of strength.

I wrapped this agate in copper with a tenderness I once reserved only for wildflowers. It’s framed by hand-forged swirls, not symmetrical, because life is not symmetrical. Adorning it are tiny glass blossoms—blue, green, soft rose—each painstakingly wire-set, each a note in that old song my grandfather sang. At the top, a luminous pale leaf of glass crowns the piece—a quiet echo of the fig trees from his garden, under whose shade we dreamed.

This pendant is made not for fashion, but for connection. It rests warm against chest, it lives there, taking on the warmth and scent of the wearer. Not the talisman, not magic—but a memory given form, for those who know the ache of things once beautiful, and the grace of carrying them forward.

Wear it when you need to remember something old and good. Or when you feel yourself becoming too much of a machine and need to become again part of the earth. Or simply—because you like how it catches the light and feels alive in your hand.

Forgive the small imperfection in wrapping—I leave one on purpose, like the old weavers of carpets did. I do not wish to be god.
